October 30, 1958 - March 13, 2019
Tom was owner and operator of Specialty Movers for 25 years. He was a long-time member of the local Army & Navy Unit #5 and in the past had served on the board, as 1st Vice.
Tom enjoyed camping, fishing, and travelling. In his last years Tom, and his wife Carol, travelled to Mexico, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, and last to his birth place of Ocean Falls.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Carol Harris, daughter Ashley Madison, son John (Julie) Harris, three grandchildren, Benton, Lily, and Jack, brother Chris (Sue) Harris, in-laws Bev and Lawrence Ridley and many extended family members and friends. Predeceased by his parents Jack and Edith Harris and sister Debbie Harris.
A Celebration of Life for Tom will be held Sunday, March 24, 2019 at 1 pm at the Army & Navy Airforce Hall (2500 46th Avenue, Vernon, BC). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tom's name to the Canadian Cancer Society of the North Okanagan Hospice Society.
