January 25, 2022
It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Todd Kaliszuk on January 25, 2022 in Kelowna General Hospital.
Todd was surrounded by his family and is deeply missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years Wendy, sons Garrett (fiancé Kristin), James (Alex) and his precious granddaughter Annika. He is also survived by his mother Juliet Kaliszuk, brother Steve (Jody) and nephews Travis, Cody (Kayla) and Morgan.
Also mourning his loss are his mother-in-law, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
His father Alex and both his paternal and maternal grandparents predeceased Todd.
Todd was born and raised in Vernon BC and was a journeyman carpenter by trade and built many unique pieces of furniture for his home.
At the time of his death he was employed by Okanagan Springs Brewery where he was a dedicated and well-respected team member.
Todd had a love for adventure and he was a skilled outdoorsman enjoying many trips hunting and fishing. He passed this love for the outdoors on to his sons.
He and Wendy spent many vacations fishing and he was happiest when he was in the wild.
The family cabin at Mabel Lake was a vital part of Todd's childhood and many summers were spent there with his own family.
A quiet and unassuming gentleman with a great sense of humor, he will be sorely missed and we are most certain he has gone fishing.
In lieu of flowers donations to the BC Wildlife Federation would be appreciated
