We regret to announce the passing at Vernon Jubilee Hospital on December 9, 2002, of TOM HUTCHINSON MARSHALL, at the age of 78 years. Tom was born and raised in Armstrong, and was a resident of Lavington-Coldstream for over fifty years. Tom was a volunteer fireman with the Coldstream Fire Department for 15 years. He was a veteran; serving in the RCAF during the Second World War. Tom will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Peggy; sons Mick and Terry; and daughters-in-law Liz and Judy. He was predeceased by his son, David, in 1994. Tom is survived by three grandchildren: Erin, Lisa, and Jordan; a brother, Norman (Norma) of Revelstoke; five sisters: Frances Husband of Salmon Arm, Bernie Burrels of Whiterock, Jean (Bill) Skobalski of Vernon, Alma Marshall of Armstrong, and Kay Moran of Golden; and numerous extended family members. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, December 16, at 2:00 P.M., in the chapel of Pleasant Valley Funeral Home, with the Reverend Canon Chris Harwood-Jones officiating. A reception will follow in the Tea Room at Pleasant Valley Chapel. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing to do so may make donations in memory of Tom to the Baerg-McMurtry Cancer Clinic at Vernon Jubilee Hospital, 2101-32 St., Vernon, V1T 5L2.
