Tina was born on February 6th, 1935 in Andijk, Holland and was called Home to be with her Lord and Saviour on March 26th, 2023 in Abbotsford, B.C. at the age of 88 years.
She immigrated to Canada with her family in 1939 and has resided in Vernon, B.C. and Chilliwack, B.C. during her life.
Tina will be lovingly remembered by her 6 children; Corrie (Rick) Talma of Camrose, Alberta, John Bootsma of Mission, B.C., Geraldine (Jerry) Veldhuis of Enderby, B.C., Peter Bootsma of Glen Valley, B.C., Stanley (Janette) Bootsma of Chilliwack, B.C. and Teresa (Greg) Fooks of Yarrow, B.C., along with her 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, numerous extended family members and friends.
Tina was predeceased by her husband Henry Bootsma in 2020, her mother Cornelia in 1976 and by her father Pieter in 1987.
A private family Graveside Service was held on Wednesday, April 5th, 2023 in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery followed by a Memorial Service at the Vernon Canadian Reformed Church with Pastor Iwan Borst officiating.
As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so may send donations in memory of Tina to the Upper Room Mission in Vernon, B.C.
