With great sorrow our family announce the passing of Urai ( Noi ) Chapman. Noi passed away Thursday, April 15th at Vernon Jubilee Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Noi was born June 12th 1956 in Bangkok, Thailand. She is predeceased by Mae (Mom) and Khem (Dad).
For many years Noi owned and operated Vernon's favourite Thai restaurant, The Amarin Thai.It had been a lifelong dream of hers having spent earlier years working in the restaurant industry. She loved cooking, was an excellent chef, and the restaurant had a loyal following winning several "Best Of " awards - it was not uncommon to meet guests who travelled from out of town to enjoy her exquisite Thai cuisine.
Noi's greatest loves, though, were her family and friends. She loved to socialize, always made everyone feel welcome, had an infectious laugh, and saw good in all - Noi was generous and thoughtful to a fault. She will be terribly missed by all who knew her.
Noi is survived by Craig, her loving husband of 35 years, son Dtom, daughters Mahlinee (Drew) and Chenise (Michael) as well as her grandson, Jaxson (Dtom).
A celebration of life will be held later this year when public health regulations permit.
