Val Joy Woodcock
After twelve years of surviving and thriving against and with breast cancer, we must sadly announce the death of our beautiful mum, Val Joy Woodcock, on October 24th, 2010; she was 66. She passed away peacefully and surrounded by family at Victoria Hospice after spending her last few months living by the sea as she had always wanted to.
Through her work as a La Leche League Leader, a Hospice Volunteer, a Lay Counsellor, etc, and as a loving mother and friend, she spread her Joy. If you were one of those people she touched, we invite you to light a candle in her memory and remind yourself of the time you spent with her. We will be holding a very small celebration of her life in Victoria, BC; location and time TBA. If you would like notification of this event, or to send whatever words you need to express to her family, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are so inclined, in lieu of flowers or gifts, donations can be sent to Victoria Hospice, the North Okanagan Hospice Society, La Leche League of Canada, or any other charity that makes sense to you when you think of Val.
