April 21, 1930 - June 8, 2021
Valentin was born on April 21st, 1930 in Akmolinsk Kazakhstan, fled from Russia to China, then later from China to Australia, and lastly to Canada where he resided for the remaining 45 years of his life. He was called Home to Heaven on June 8th, 2021 at the age of 91 years.
After sixty-eight years of faithful marriage, Valentin is survived by his wife Elena; six children and their spouses, Wally (Irene), Peter (Natasha), George (Svetlana), Serge (Dawn), Alex (Tanis) and Alice (Serge); nineteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two sisters, Tamara and Luba.
Valentin leaned on the grace of God, trusting in Christ's sacrificial death and resurrection for his righteousness and eternal salvation. He deeply loved Jesus and faithfully served him. His deepest passion was the worship of God through song and music.
May the Lord forever be glorified in the life and death of Valentin, a true hero to his family and faithful son to his Father in Heaven.
He will be deeply missed. His family has the assurance that those who have also accepted Jesus as their personal Lord and Saviour will see him again when they themselves are called Home.
The family extends a special thanks to the Slavic Pentecostal Churches in Adelaide, Australia and Vernon, B.C. for their Christian fellowship, and to the Vernon Jubilee Hospital and North Okanagan Hospice for their excellent loving care of Valentin.
A Graveside Service took place at the Coldstream Cemetery on Thursday, June 17th, 2021 at 11 am. with Pastor Peter Lutsenko officiating.

Funeral arrangements were made with Bethel Funeral Chapel Ltd., 5605-27th Street, Vernon, B.C. V1T 8Z5
