Val also goes to join some special 4-legged friends; Sandy, Jeans, Casey, Katie and many others. She also goes to join 3 folks whom she has admired all her life as they gave her perseverance, hope and strength to succeed – Auntie Puff, Gladie and Howdie.
Val was born in a mixed farming community in southern Saskatchewan and from that grew her love of animals. After moving to B.C. she enjoyed fishing, camping, building rock walls around the garden and flower beds in her yard, poetry and dabbling in watercolor painting. Decorating with antique country pieces both inside and outside her home complimented the outstanding woodworking that was one of her many hobbies. After collecting for many years, her last job at Antique Imports was her icing on the cake!
She will miss the many friends she has gathered along the way, and to those she would say “Happy trails to you – until we meet again”.
Cremation preceded a Celebration of Val’s Life which will be held at Bethel Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, September 11th, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. with Mr. Victor Noakes officiating. A Reception will follow in the Tea Room at Bethel Funeral Chapel.
