Vernon Bohnen


Anita, Janice, Loretta, Maria, Marlene and Pauline wish to announce that their hero, Vernon Bohnen, has left to join his lady on May 7th, 2006.

Vernon was predeceased by his wife, Therese Marie. He is survived by his six daughters, Anita (Orville), Jan, Loretta (Aaron), Maria (Dick), Marlene and Pauline (Brad). Vernon will also be sadly missed by his thirteen grandchildren and one great granddaughter, Vernon’s brother Art and sisters Margaret, Catherine, Georgina, Lillian, Terry and Cindy. He was pre deceased by brother John (Buddy).

Born on September 30th, 1921 in Watson, Sask. He moved to Vernon when he was 14 and knew he was home. Vernon was a veteran of the Second World War and retired as a welder from Finning Tractor.

Vernon was a true renaissance man. He had a love of life, learning and new experiences and shared all of this with his family. Vern and Therese had many adventures and created fond memories of their time skiing on Silver Star Mountain, travelling and with Family at the cabin. His grandchildren enriched his life with their love and antics.

Celebration of his life will be at Pleasant Valley Funeral Home on Thursday, May 11th at 2:00 pm.
