Born in Bashaw, Alberta on October 04, 1932, Veronica moved to Vernon in 1935. Affectionately called both Vee and Vera, she landed her first job with CN Telegraph (Vernon) then transferred to several other BC communities before assuming the role of Paymaster in the fishing industry at Steveston, BC. She returned to Vernon in 1990 and remarried here.

Veronica passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 11, 2018 at the age of 86. We'd like to express our thanks and appreciation to the staff of Heron Grove for the kindness and care they provided to Veronica in her final years battling Dementia.

Veronica was predeceased by husband Emil Ploeger and her first husband Don Foster, brother Ken Nistor, and parents Carl and Eva Nistor. She is survived by her son Bryan Foster (Engel), 2 grandchildren Darren and Britney(Warren), sister Shirley Ogasawara, brother Bud Nistor (Judy), Aunt Linda Gardner(Russ), cousins Isabella Nelson (Doug) and Brenda Minardi (John), and 6 nieces/nephews.

Relatives and Friends are invited to a joint family-held Celebration of Life for both VERONICA and brother KEN NISTOR (deceased October 17, 2018) at the Prestige Hotel, 4411 - 32nd Street (across from Vernon Square Shopping Centre) on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 1 pm.
