On Wednesday, May 25th, 2005 God saw Larry Victor Maksymchuk getting tired when a cure was not to be, so He closed his arms around him and whispered, “Come Home to Me.” He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Alla, to whom he was married for 26 years, his children; Gregory of Orange, Texas, Janet of Vernon, B.C., Amy of Bay City, Texas and Nikki of Vernon, B.C., five grandchildren; Kirstee, Dillon, Tristen, Bailey and Nicole, his parents, Victor & Olga Maksymchuk of Vernon, B.C., two brothers; Leon (Laurissa) of Grande Prairie, Alberta and Terry (Kelly) of Vernon, B.C., two sisters; Valerie Powell and Debby Maksymchuk, both of Vernon, B.C. and several nieces and nephews. Larry was born on September 30th, 1951 in Oshawa, Ontario and spent his early years in Swan River, Manitoba. He later attended College in Tenessee and had a real passion for travelling. He lived in various places in the States but his heart was always drawn to Vernon where he ended up spending his latter years. Larry was a carpenter by trade for most of his life and built many homes. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and enjoyed soaking up the warm sunshine whenever he could. The Funeral Service will be held at The Church Of God, corner of Silver Star Road and Star Road on Sunday, May 29th, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor Ron Doroshuk officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.“May the work I’ve done speak for me.”
