It is with great sadness that we the family of Victor Yablonski announce his passing on March, 4th, 2008 in the Vernon Jubilee Hospital with his family by his side. Victor had a very short; yet brave battle with lung cancer.

He will be lovingly remembered by his two daughters; Christina Yablonski & Jennifer (Tom) Patrick; one son, Keegan Yablonski; two step-daughters, Gidget (Jonathan) Read & Crystal (Dan) Mouldey; three grandchildren, Brieanna, Taylor & Ebony; four step-grandchildren, Lucas, Alexandra, Savanna & Dominic; his father, Bill; two sisters, Sandra & Olga; three brothers; Mike (Lolitta), Bill, & Steven (Jane); his long-time partner & friend, Debbie Audet; his former wife and long-time friend, Marilyn Yablonski as well as many nieces, nephews & extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Eugina (Jenny); brother, Andy; infant son, Christopher & infant grandson, Connor.

Victor immigrated to Canada from Germany with his family in May of 1951. The family lived in many different places across BC before settling in Vernon, BC in 1974. Victors’ passion was truck driving. He worked for Rocky Mountain Transport in Vernon, BC for 11 years. He then took on a few other trucking jobs before settling with Lomak in Mackenzie, BC.

Victor always had a wonderful sense of humor and made friends very easily. He was also a very stubborn but selfless man, especially when it came to his children & grandchildren.

The Funeral Service will be held at Bethel Funeral Chapel on Monday, March 10th, 2008 at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. A Reception will take place in the Tea Room of Bethel Funeral Chapel at the conclusion of the burial.

Those who wish to do so may send donations in memory of Victor to the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation designated for 3 East. A special thank you to Dr. Pritchett & the nurses of 3 East who took such good care of our father during his time at the hospital.
