Born Oct. 7, 1911 passed away Oct. 16, 2004. Violet came to Canada as a young child when her father homesteaded in the White Bear area of Sask. After attending the small country school and working as a housekeeper on various farms married David Wm Lowe on Sept. 11, 1932. David and Violet farmed in the North Landing area of Sask. for a number of years before moving to Kyle, Sask. so the younger children could attend school. In 1964 saw a move to BC and settled in Vernon. Mom took an active part in the Old Age Pensions Group where she served as treasurer. Mom was very active in the development of McCullach Court and later in the craft group of Schubert Center.
Left behind is husband David of 72 years, daughters Ella (Derek) and Shirley Kamloops, BC, sons Rodney (Gaile) Kyle, Sask., Gordon, Armstrong, BC and John, Vernon, BC, son-in-law Miles, Ont., 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons, one sister Evelyn, Kyle, Sask., sister-in-laws Phyllis, Langley, BC, Annie Leader, Sask., and Mary, Red Deer, AB.
Predeceased by parents, 10 brothers and sisters and one daughter, Donna. Special thanks to Anne and Jessica of Anne’s Country Care Home for their excellent, compassionate care of Mom’s last four months. A service will be held at a later date.
