Mrs. Violet Coupar, long time resident of Vernon, passed away in the Vernon Jubilee Hospital on Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at the age of 92 years. She was predeceased by her husband David Coupar on June 24, 1984.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Shirley Grant and Beverley (Marcel) Dupas, both of Vernon. Her grandchildren Sandra Dupas of Mission, Laurie Dupas of Vernon, Annette (Randy) Howkins of Lumby, Karen (Dan) Giesbrecht of Armstrong, Bonnie (Harold) Mann of Vernon, Darin (Lisa) Grant of Vernon and Rob Grant of Vernon. Her great grandchildren, Lisa and Cindy Giesbrecht of Armstrong, Travis, Brad and Nicki Mann of Vernon, Cory Grant, Brandon, Chelsey, Austin Grant and Shelena Dupas all of Vernon. Violet’s sister Maud Gould and brother Walt (Anna) Wall of Brandon, Manitoba. Sister-in-law Maxine Coupar of Maple Ridge, B.C. and brother-in-law Donald Coupar of Fort Langley, B.C.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the caring staff of Comfort Living where Violet lived since June 2005, Dr. Fred Dyck and nurses of 3 West of Vernon Jubilee Hospital.
At Violet’s request there will be no funeral. In lieu of flowers memorial tributes may be made in Violets name to a charity of your choice. Arrangements by Pleasant Valley Funeral Home.
