It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Vi Sawatsky, a long time Vernon resident.
Vi was predeceased by her parents Arthur & Jesse Barnard, brother Dave Barnard, and sister Laura Hill.
Vi is survived by her loving husband Dean, son Gerry, daughter Marillyn (Pat), brother Bob (Laverne), sister Audrey, granddaughter Cheryl (Jody), grandson Chris, and three great-grandchildren Noah, Carys and Max.
When Vi was healthy she loved golfing and gardening, in winter it was curling and badminton. Over the years she did countless hours of volunteer work, including Vernon Jubliee Hospital Auxiliary. She was a bookkeeper for many businesses before retiring in 1985.
A heartfelt thank you to all the staff at Polson Special where Vi spent the past 7 years.
