December 17, 1921 - January 27, 2020
Virginia was born on December 17th, 1921 in Swift Current, Saskatchewan and passed away peacefully on January 27th, 2020 in Vernon, B.C. at the age of 98 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her sons; Keith (Carol) Lanoue of Maple Ridge, B.C. and Randy (Lea) Lanoue of Vernon, B.C., her grandchildren; Megan (Rob), Sara (Adam) and Clayton (Nicholle), her seven great-grandchildren, her brother; Lorne Schwartz, her daughter-in-law; Ciana Meyer along with numerous extended family members and friends. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; Alex & Eva Schwartz, her husband; Oscar Lanoue, her sister; Sylvia McClinton, her son; Ron Meyer and by her daughter; Marjorie Lanoue.
Virginia was a very loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She loved playing bingo, driving cars, going on road trips to the casino and having her coffee and socializing with her friends. In respecting Virginia's wishes, she was cremated and no funeral service will be held.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the Community Care Aides and to the staff at Vernon Hospice for the wonderful care provided to our mom.
