Vladimir was born in a small village in the north of the Czech Republic, the youngest of 4 siblings he grew up during WWII, the communist regime, and served in the Czech Army.

Upon his return home from the Army he met Kveta, whom he married in 1956, and had two boys.

In 1968, the family fled the Czech Republic, through Yugoslavia and Austria to immigrate to Canada, where they made Vernon their home; he worked as a heavy duty Mechanic for Rocky Mountain Transport then Vernon Moving and Storage.

He loved the outdoors, traveling, cars and trucks.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years Kveta, his sons Peter (Wendy), Wally (Joanne) and his grandchildren Branden and Amanda (Mike).

At the request of Vladimir, no service will be held.
