October 15, 1931 - March 7, 2019
Walter was born on October 15th, 1931 in Fish Creek, Saskatchewan and passed away on March 7th, 2019 in Vernon, BC at the age of 87 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife; Rosemarie to whom he was married for 28 years, his step-daughter; Margot, his four sons, his grandchildren, his great-grandchildren, his sisters; Mary and Anne along with numerous extended family members and friends. Walter was preceded in death by two brothers and by his parents; Frank and Marica.
Walter was a very loving and hard-working man who loved horses and country music. He played guitar in a band called the Midnight Travellers for many years which saw him travel worldwide with his wife Rosemarie. Together they were known as a loving duet! Walter served with the Canadian Special Forces in Korea in 1951 and was a very proud veteran.
In respecting Walter's wishes, he was cremated and no funeral service will be held.
