Walter Edward (Ed) Yaremcio
Walter Edward (Ed) Yaremcio passed away at Vernon BC, April 17th, 2009, aged 75 years. He was born at Levoy, Alberta, May 19th,1933. Ed moved to Surrey BC in 1959, where he had lived until moving to Armstrong in 1994. He worked in construction as a concrete mixer. While at the coast he worked for Ocean Construction for 30 years, and here in Armstrong with Armstrong Ready Mix. He was predeceased by his parents, two sisters Lillian and Sophia. Ed is survived by his loving family, wife Kathy of Armstrong, five daughters, Lianne, Donna (Barry), Teri (Bryan), Beverly (David), Marlene. There are eleven grandchildren and one great granddaughter, one brother Don (Irene) and one sister Natalie (David). Mr. Yaremcio was a devoted family man and had a remarkable sense of humour. The family would like to express a special thanks to the staff at Polson Special, Dr. Alan Gow, and Dr. Abdel Kadar. Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 25th, 2009 at 1:00 PM at the Armstrong Bible Chapel in Armstrong with Rev. Kelly Grittner officiating. A tea will be held in the Church Hall. Inurnment in the Armstrong-Spallumcheen Cemetery. No flowers by request, donations in memory of Ed may be made to the Alzheimer Society of BC.
