August 19, 1926 - August 28, 2022
In Loving Memory ~
Wanda was called to her eternal home by her Lord and Savior on August 28th, 2022 just nine days after celebrating her 96th birthday.
Wanda was born on August 19th, 1926 in Quernau, Poland to Martha and Otto Molzahn.
As with many of her generation she faced numerous challenges as she experienced the turmoil and horrors of World War 11. Escaping Poland in 1947, she was so fortunate to be reunited with her mother and brother Hugo in Germany.
In 1954 Wanda immigrated to Pennsylvania, USA with her mother, reuniting the family once again.
Until her retirement she worked as a seamstress. In 1991, she was united in marriage to Helmut Wutzke who had recently become a widower, and once again embarked on another journey, this time moving to Vernon, B.C.
Through this marriage her family and circle of friends expanded. Wanda enjoyed spending time with her friends, gardening and growing flowers of all kinds. Wanda and Helmut also had opportunities to travel in the years they had together. Despite all she endured, Wanda's faith in her Savior, Jesus Christ remained strong and sustained her even as her health and body faltered.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Adolf and husband Helmut.
Wanda's memory will be cherished by her family, Doris (Jurgen) Goebert and their children, Christina (Dave) MacPhee, Marla Goebert and Benita (David) Wiebe and their children; her brother, Hugo (Selma) Molzahn and his children, Ruth (Darius) Puzinas, Rudy Molzahn and Linda (David) Churchwell, together with extended family members and friends.
The Funeral Service was held at the Church of God on Tuesday, September 6th, 2022 at 2 pm with interment following in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so may send donations in memory of Wanda to the Canadian Bible Society, 10 Carnforth Road, Toronto, Ontario M4A 2S4 or the North Okanagan Hospice Society, 3506-27th Avenue, Vernon, B.C.
