In loving memory ~
It is with sadness for us, but joy for him, that the family of Ed Danallanko bids farewell to their beloved patriarch. Ed was a kind and generous friend, a talented handyman and a wise mentor to many. During his lifetime, he worked as a certified auto mechanic, a "shop" teacher at Summerland Secondary School, and a machinist with the Parks Department and at White Lake Observatory.
He truly was a 'jack of all trades' who loved the Lord, his family, his shop, the outdoors, garbage can dinners, friends, books and puzzles. He was a man with resilience and a wonderful sense of humour which was undoubtedly the result of raising five daughters in a house with one bathroom.
He is lovingly remembered by brother Gordie Danallanko, sister Betty Beck, daughters Eileen (Greg), Sue (Mike), Leslie, and Lynn (Jim), grandchildren and great-grandchildren, very special extended family members and loyal friends who contacted or visited him often.
Ed was predeceased by his wife Linda, sister Marian Walker, daughter, Brenda Bryant and grandson, Denver Lee.
Instead of flowers or other tokens, please consider donating to the GoFundMe page that has been set up to create an "Ed Danallanko Memorial" bursary. This will be awarded to a Summerland Secondary School student seeking certification in a trade or technology program.
