Mr. William “Fred” Schulze fell asleep in Jesus on Friday, August 18th, 2006 at the age of 100 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his children; Marlene Schulze and Terry (Diane) Schulze of Vernon, B.C. and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Martha Adeline (Lena) Schulze on July 24th , 1996 and five brothers. Fred was born on March 12th, 1906 at Schollene, Kreis Havelberg, Germany and came to Canada as a young man, settling first in Saskatchewan. After living there for a few years he moved to Alberta but eventually found his way to the beautiful North Okanagan Valley in the 1930’s. Here he found employment in the Forest Industry and remained in it for the remainder of his working years. He married his wife Lena Holland in February, 1941 and was a loving husband to her for 55 years. Fred was a long time devoted member of the Vernon Seventh Day Adventist Church and will be sorely missed by his church family. Cremation preceded the Funeral Service which will be held at the Vernon Seventh Day Adventist Church on Friday, August 25th, 2006 at 1:30 P.M. with Pastor Ed Teranski officiating. Interment of Fred’s cremated remains will follow in the
family plot at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
