Bill grew up in Richmond and Ucluelet, B.C. and after graduating from High School he moved to Nimpo Lake where he worked for the Department of Highways. In the fall of 1980 Bill left the Department of Highways and moved to Vernon, B.C. where he purchased Al’s Septic Service and Dave’s Pumping. Bill purchased Eddie’s Blacktop in 1988 and owned and operated the business until 2012. After his retirement Bill worked part time for Briteland and most recently at Asphalt Valley.

In Bill’s younger years he enjoyed playing baseball, skiing and leading worship in the church. Bill loved serving in the church and acted as an elder in several churches throughout his life.
