William Victor Ostafew

We announce the death in the Vernon Jubilee Hospital on Wednesday, February 16th, 2005 of William Victor Ostafew at the age of 91 years. William was predeceased by his loving wife Helen. He is survived by his loving family, one son Wayne (Nancy) of Vernon, three daughters, Jeanette (Andy) Sokol of Toronto, ON., Daphne Pretty (Norm) Sandvik of Kelowna, Laurie (Gerry) Stevens of Winfield, ten grandchildren, three great grandsons, two brothers John Ostafew of Vernon, Morris (Daphne) Ostafew of England, one sister Phyllis (Frank) Weiss of Burnaby, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. William loved gardening and was proprietor of the Ostafew Gulf Station on 43rd Ave in Vernon for many years. A Celebration Of Life Service will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Monday, February 21st, 2005 from the Pleasant Valley Funeral Home with Mr. Brian Jackson officiating. Cremation. Those friends wishing to make memorial contributions in memory of William may do so to the B.C. Heart & Stroke Foundation. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the PLEASANT VALLEY FUNERAL HOME (542-4333).
