MR. WILLIAM (BILL) WAGNER, dear father of Ron (Doreen) Wagner of Armstrong, B.C. and Phyllis (Kerry) Heidebrecht of Vernon, B.C., was called Home to be with his Lord on Sunday, January 25th, 2004 at the age of 86 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his six grandchildren; Kimberley (Jock) McArthur of Armstrong, B.C., Todd (Colleen) Wagner of Vernon, B.C., Daryl Heidebrecht of Vernon, B.C., Tyler Wagner of Armstrong, B.C., Alisa Heidebrecht of New Westminster, B.C. and Chad Wagner of Armstrong, B.C., his four great-grandchildren; Mikayla, Tegan and Morgan McArthur and Kaleigh Wagner, one brother; Sam Wagner of Medicine Hat, Alberta, two half-brothers; Theophil (Lizzie) Heller and Edwin (Violet) Heller of Medicine Hat, Alberta, three half-sisters; Irene (Ted) Jess of Hanna, Alberta, Annette (Lawrence) Sackman of Red Deer, Alberta and Bertha (Milbert) Riegel of Medicine Hat, Alberta, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, one aunt; Bertha Landseidel of Medicine Hat, Alberta, one uncle; Edwin Hepper of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan and many extended family members in Saskatchewan, Alberta and B.C. Bill was predeceased by his wife, Bertha in 1999, his father, August Wagner, his mother, Elizabeth (Hepper) Heller, his step-father, Conrad Heller, two brothers, Ervin Wagner and Eli Wagner, one sister; Ruth Brost, one half-sister; Hildegard Stelter, three step-brothers; Emil Heller, Emmanuel Heller and John Heller and two step-sisters; Mary Stuber and Erna Sweeder. Bill was born on July 7th, 1917 at Morse, Saskatchewan and after the death of his father in 1918, Bill’s mother married Conrad Heller of Wisdom, Alberta. Bill spent his younger years at Wisdom and on December 23rd, 1943 he married Bertha Maria Ehman in Medicine Hat, Alberta. They then came to the Okanagan Valley and lived in the Armstrong and Vernon area for the rest of their lives. The Funeral Service will be held at Living Word Lutheran Church, 6525-Okanagan Landing Road in Vernon, B.C. on Saturday, January 31st, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Peter Ward officiating. Bill will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife, Bertha in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
