Yasuko Moore

Mrs. Yasuko Moore passed away peacefully on

December 27, 2006 in Vernon, B.C. at the age of

85 years. She is predeceased by first husband Takeo

Furuya in 1960 and her second husband Sam Moore in 1982. Yasuko is survived by her loving family; 2 sons Bryan (Margaret) Furuya of Calgary, AB., Grant (Theresa) Furuya of Langley, B.C., and daughter Janice

(Mike) Erwin of Vernon, B.C. She is further

survived by 9 grandchildren; Michael (Kelly) Furuya

of Calgary, AB., Amanda (Phillip) Mellafont of Medicine

Hat, AB., Helen (Brad Zawislak) Furuya of Sylvan Lake, AB., Rosanna

(Peter) Ly of Langley, B.C., Christina, Julia, Vicki Furuya all of Langley,

B.C., Max and Alex Erwin of Vernon, B.C., 3 great grandchildren Melody

and Jordan Mellafont of Medicine Hat, AB., Katie Furuya of Calgary,

3 sisters Miyo Kita of Maple Ridge, B.C., Natsuko Mizuno of Burnaby,

B.C., Mitzi Kagetsu of Port Coquitlam, B.C., 3 brothers Tommy

Tamagi of Kelowna, B.C., Min Tamagi of Vancouver, B.C., and Tomatsu

(Marjorie) Tamagi of Mississauga, ON and numerous nieces and nephews.

Yasuko always found something good in people “found gold” and always

had a positive outlook. She enjoyed her life and the most important

thing to her was family. A Celebration of Life service will be held from Trinity United Church on Sunday, December 31, 2006 at 2:00 PM with Mrs. Sheila Odney officiating. Cremation. Reception to follow service in the Tea Room of Pleasant Valley Funeral Home. If friends so desire donations in memory of
