It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Zoe Jean Cundall at the age of 97 years at Pleasant Valley Manor, Armstrong.
Mom was born an only child in Edmonton Alberta.
During the 2nd world war she worked at the Air Observer School in Edmonton doing airplane cleaning and driving a fuel truck. After the war, in 1948, she married Bob Cundall and moved to Vernon. Eventually her and Bob opened Walk-Ezy Shoes in downtown Vernon. In 1978 they closed the shoe store and retired.
Over the years she belonged to the United Church Ladies Friendship Circle, Business and Professional Women's Club, White Cane Club and worked part-time for the French Shoppe. Mom was active in and volunteered at the Schubert Centre for many years.
Mom was a loving, generous and caring mother. She had an outgoing personality which made her many friends. Mom was always up for a get together with friends and family. She loved music and singing and was known for her sense of humour and a quick and snappy comeback.
She is lovingly remembered by her children Richard (Faye), Barbara (Richard), Georgina (Rod) and Keith and grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family thanks the staff at Pleasant Valley Manor for taking such good care of our mom and for being good friends to her.
