LETTER: There are too many corrupt individuals with technical skills to manipulate the count of votes

B.C. citizens need to demand an independent review of how Elections BC handled the 2024 election.

It took weeks to tally the votes, with shady non-satisfactory explanations of the mishandling of ballots by unknown persons. What is going on?

How did four seats that were announced "won" by Conservatives mysteriously turn around to the NDP?

The disputed seats were led and "won" by Conservatives but somehow reversed in favour of the NDP after weeks of delays and ballot-finding of 861 "missing" ballots found after the election.

Who made the changes and why? We need explanations.

An internal review is simply not enough. British Columbians deserve a truly independent investigation to restore trust and ensure future elections are free from error, manipulation, and outside influence.

Frankly, after the millions of votes that were manipulated in the United States' 2020 election following the use of faulty electronic vote counting machines, I do not trust the use of the same machines in Canada. Nor do I trust the integrity of those who insist on using them.

There are too many corrupt individuals with technical skills to manipulate the count of votes.

It's time to wise up to the corruption that exists in our day and do everything we can to prevent fraud, especially with our votes.

We need to have votes correctly tabulated immediately - not weeks after the election.
