After reviewing the three proposals put forward by the Ministry of Transportation for the intersection at Stickle Road, the Swan Lake Corridor Business Association believes that the latest MOT proposal has addressed the majority of our safety concerns.
We understand that MOT is planning much further out and with that, planning for effective traffic flow and access for both the residents and businesses along the entire corridor, both now and in the future.
It has been our goal to work with government to come to a safe and viable solution for today, and in particular for the future of the corridor.
We are confident the government will do everything possible to satisfy the needs of public safety but also to work closely with the business association to ensure that access and infrastructure will be acceptable and in no way detrimental to the businesses in this area.
While we had hoped for a controlled traffic light, we understand that is not an option and see this latest proposal as the best alternative.
