Charities should co-operate

Resident urges relationship between the Upper Room Mission and the Gleaners.

I read with interest about two local organizations doing great work — the Upper Room Mission and the Gleaners.

The article about the mission indicated that they could use more donations for their meal programs.

The article about the Gleaners stated how they provide dehydrated soup mix that gets sent all over the world to provide meals in Third World countries.

It just occurred to me that perhaps the Gleaners might be inspired to provide a small portion of their soup mix to the mission. After all, doesn’t charity begin at home?
