Deer sign

Resident pleased to see a deer crossing sign erected on a section of Bella Vista Road

A few weeks ago, I wrote to the editor regarding a very sad and disturbing incident involving a deer that was hit on Bella Vista Road July 28.

I was very pleased to see a deer crossing sign erected on the section of road where the accident had occurred.  I only hope it will cause drivers to slow down and be more cautious.

The number of deer on the road has increased greatly in the last year or two, and will only increase with time as we develop more of our rural areas.
