I was driving along Highway 6 recently at approximately 5:30 p.m.
I wasn’t in a hurry, wasn’t texting or talking on a cell phone, and wasn’t in any other way distracted. I looked in my mirror and shoulder checked before starting to move from the left to the right lane. To my amazement, a black sedan was suddenly right beside me so I quickly retreated to the left lane.
I wanted to extend a huge thank-you to the driver who had pulled over into the shoulder to avoid my vehicle.
Without his excellent defensive-driving skills there would have certainly been an accident which would have been 100 per cent my fault. Hopefully the driver reads this letter, accepts my apology and thank-you, and pats himself on the back.
