Recently, we experienced an outpouring of love and pride for our country following the loss of two soldiers.

Yes, Canada is the best country in the world.  Only in Canada would you see the leader of a country appear in public at the location of a killing only a day before, as well as appearances at  football and  hockey games.

However, it seems that it always takes an immense tragedy for us to show our patriotism.

So I am challenging all Vernonites, indeed all Canadians, to demonstrate our patriotism all of the time.

Fly the Canadian flag all of the time and attend the Remembrance Day ceremonies every year.
