Fog lights

Resident urges motorists to be courteous and not use their fog lights

Please turn off your fog lights for day-to-day driving.

As per the Ministry of Transportation, the use of fog lamps during good driving conditions can blind other drivers, creating a significant safety hazard.

It can also result in a fine enforceable by RCMP.

I do not know when it became acceptable for so many people to drive around with their fog lights on at all times.

They should be turned off to oncoming drivers, and only used to improve vision in foggy conditions.

I would like to say to my fellow drivers, please be courteous and turn off your fog lights.
