Gate closure

Resident questions why park access is closed despite posted hours

Like most people, I get up, get ready and head off to work.

During the day, my dog stays at home and sleeps, perhaps getting up once in a while to chew on her bone or grab a bite to eat.

When I get home, I want to relax and eat dinner before I get out and take her for a walk. By this time, it is usually 8 p.m. I put the dog in my truck, hop in, drive to the Kal Lake park parking lot and the gates are closed? I look at the sign and it clearly states that the gates close at 10 p.m. Am I missing something here? What’s with the discrepancy?
