Government spending

The Liberal government is busy giving out our money for many projects to influence the vote

Spring is almost here, and this year we will see a healthy crop of election signs and billboards.

The Liberal government is busy giving out our money for many projects to influence the vote, and bombarding us with feel good ads at our expense.

But something is missing. What is missing again, as it is every spring, are the lines marking the lanes on our streets and highways.

If everything goes as usual, they will be repainted by late May or early June.

It is a great make work project by governments (local and provincial) for some contractor to repaint these lines every spring. But why do we have to do this? There are better quality paints available but better costs more.

So is the cost of better paint more than the costs of re-doing this every year, and the costs of insurance claims because of accidents caused by people not being able to see the proper lane?

Something is wrong with this scenario.

Maybe take some money from that huge government advertising budget and put it to some actual good use.
