Great library staff

The Vernon branch of Okanagan Regional Library deserves recognition, praise and thanks for excellent service all year long.

The Vernon branch of Okanagan Regional Library deserves recognition, praise and thanks for excellent service all year long.

The community is proud of this award-winning building but the people inside are the point of my letter. They are willing, interested, cheerful, helpful and knowledgeable in their librarian careers, paying, beyond expectation, attention to deadlines, renewals, reminders, return calls, requests, books held, suggestions and personal guidance.

They respond to every need. No request is ever too much trouble to solve.

While searching for the last book written by a favourite author, a helpful librarian produced a two-page list of books similar to this author. It was an unexpected surprise and it enabled me to locate more enjoyable books quickly.

Top hats off to our library staff.
