Intersection woes

Intersections in Spallumcheen deserve attention before someone is seriously hurt

Yes it is realized that this mayor and council have there hands tied behind their back – but it is hoped that you may lobby for changes to be made.

There are several spots where you turn on and off the highway in the Spallumcheen township that are dark and unlit and poorly marked.

It is real scary and just a matter of time before someone is seriously hurt at one of these intersections.

One such intersection that needs attention is the one on Highway 97 that turns into Golf View

There is a turn lane for a left turn, when it snows this lane disappears and becomes the property of the oncoming traffic and you are stuck in the traveled lane trying to make the left turn with everyone behind you hitting their brakes.

Even in good weather at night this intersection is dark and it is really tough to see where the turn onto Medenhall Road is.

What is the chance of better markings and a street light – a flashing light?

A few solar powered flashing lights and signage and a drop in the speed allowed would be nice.
