Jobs are available

Letter writer says employment opportunities exist in the area

I find it interesting that the letter writer never brings up the possibility of the homeless finding jobs so they can afford to house themselves.

As I understand it, the Okanagan Valley had a shortage of workers during this year's various crop harvests, so much so that temporary foreign workers had to be brought in.

Why not locals? Do they want to work?

If not, why should the taxpayers look after them?

Is it because possibly they have self-induced medical problems ( drugs )?

Again I ask, why should hard-working taxpayers be blamed for their plight? I am just wondering.
