I attended the open house held by the City of Vernon Feb. 15. I was told it is busy with other developments for two years and therefore, is only able to develop one or two lake access sites a year with current staff.
Now, it was decided to develop one site per year, hire a consultant ($40,000) and create an additional parks planner position for two years ($230,000). What happened? What changed? What’s the explanation?
