It has become clear that we should be looking for a new Liberal MLA candidate for our riding, and a new mayor for our city.
They are obviously knuckling under to what seems to me to be the bureaucrats in our Highways Department.
I’ve had enough experience, both technical and through travel, to know for certain there is a better, less land wasteful, less local traffic degenerating, less dangerous, less costly solution to that proposed by Highways for the Highway 97/Stickle Road intersection.
The threat to withdraw funding for any other solution is the worst sort of blackmail by a provincial bureaucratic body whose duty it is to serve the wishes of the public, the electorate of this particular area of the province.
Let the search begin for more rational, more courageous candidates for local office.
