As we see images on TV showing the pain and distress and hear numbers of deaths in the Russia - Ukraine and Hamas - Israel wars our hearts ache for the people there.
What losses on so many levels for them! We want to see it end.
As Canadians we haven’t experienced war like that on our soil.
We have experienced loss though.
In Canada in 2022 alone, MAiD claimed 13,241 lives and abortion claimed 96,951.
This is equivalent to the population of almost two-and-a-half cities the size of Vernon in one year.
We also grieve.
