I was recently in Vancouver and noted the talk on the street was the abhorrent increase of 5 per cent in property taxes.
I listened to the Kelowna radio stations where they also were lamenting the absolute abusive tax increase of 4.5 per cent. So, the people in Vernon complain about their 6 per cent increase (happens to be the highest in B.C.) so, obviously, who cares?
Apparently no one. Does anyone know why the Feds proclaim the cost of living to be a mere two per cent while the spendthrifts running municipal affairs don’t even consider this figure to be reasonable? Ho, Ho, Merry Christmas.
