Reduced rates

Newly turned senior surprised swim rates rose at Vernon Recreation Centre

Having just turned 65 and renewing my annual membership for the Vernon Recreation Centre pool, I was surprised to learn that there are no Seniors’ rates. This seems counter-productive to the maintenance of good health for elder citizens, who may not be able to afford the $368.08 annual fee.

Medical costs would escalate even higher without proper daily exercise. Please consider the provision of reduced fees for seniors at our public facilities.
