Kudos to Dave Jones, (Road Woes, Morning Star July 1), for telling it like it is.
The road repairs, and I use that word loosely, along 27th Street to the Walmart shopping centre are a bad joke.
Talk about doing things on the cheap. We've all heard about the crumbling infrastructure of our cities. If this cut-rate solution is the best Vernon's works department can come up with, we're really in trouble.
