Excuse me if I'm not excited about the upcoming royal visit. I am disgusted that we Canadians have to waste our tax dollars on this frivolous nonsense.
It's somewhat justifiable for the Brits, because it generates a lot of tourism dollars, but does absolutely nothing positive for Canada. The monarchy should have been abandoned when slavery was abolished, it is simply the other end of the human injustice scale.
