Unfortunately, it was only a matter of time; a hit-and-run involving two cyclists May 6 in Coldstream.
In all of the years I have been cycling, sadly the Vernon area astounds me with its inconsiderate drivers when passing road cyclists, particularly when there is no oncoming traffic.
The majority of vehicles, including city buses and trucks, drive far too close to riders. It is downright scary cycling in town.
My plea to all drivers, please be mindful of cyclists. You pass much closer than you realize.
Share the road and give us some space.
