The gift of life

Give hands-free this Christmas - use of hand-held devices while driving is against the law

To all those looking for the perfect gift this year for family and friends, I suggest the device that turns all electronics into hands-free.

It seems people are not getting the message. After your friend or family member has disabled or, worse yet, killed themselves or a perfect stranger, that all-important text or call won’t really be that important anymore.

Please use good sense and try and obey the rules of the road.

Most of us, no matter how smart we think we are, can’t multi-task while driving.

Employers who have company vehicles with their logos on the vehicle should also be supplying hands-free devices or banning the use of hand-held electronics while working.

Remember the use of hand-held devices while driving is against the law.

Drive safely and be mindful of others who share the road with you.
