It’s all part of the Vernon & District Baseball Association’s annual Picture Day and Bottle Drive Saturday at Lakeview Park.

Games in Rally Cap, Tadpole and Mosquito divisions will go from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Parents are urged to bring bottles to the drop off area at the park starting at 8:30 a.m. when pictures begin. The empties will be hauled to Chasers Bottle Depot.

A converted Kal Tire pick-up truck will serve barbecued BX Brand sausage hot dogs and smokies throughout the day.

Players are asked to be at the photographer’s tent 15 minutes before picture time.

Meanwhile, the Anchor Inn Panthers came from behind to edge the powerful Kal Tire White Sox 9-8 in Bantam play Tuesday night at Creekside Park.

First Year pitchers Sage Shaw and Alex Laurila were fierce on the mound in the first two innings.

Morgan Johnson, Keefer Kaemph and Steel Sigurdson reached the bases in the thrd and fifth nings, while Dylan Oberle added a single. Kyle Kerr, Tiege Doughty and Daymond Jadssal swiped bases in the second and fourth innings.

Jake Emmons went 2-for-2 with two RBI, while Jesse Helme was a wall behind the plate. Chase McRae punched a single in the bottom of the fifth to bring in the go-ahead run.
