Bull riding returns to Louis Estates

Louis Estates Rodeo, located on Westside Road, will host Vernon Bull Riding Saturday, April 16

Cowboys will take on bulls for a chance at prize money in Vernon.

Louis Estates Rodeo, located on Westside Road, will host Vernon Bull Riding Saturday, April 16.

The event begins at 1 p.m.

“We are hoping for 25 bull riders with a short-round of the top-10 riders coming back,” said Carol Louis, event spokesperson, who is putting on the Bull Riders Canada Inc. event along with Cecil, Bobby and Teal Louis.

Competitors will compete for $3,000 in prize money, along with belt buckles.

Admission is $15.

A concession and beverage garden, operated by the Armstrong Kinsmen Club, will be on hand.

The bucking stock for the event will be provided by Vernon’s Coyote Creek Rodeo, operated by Ted Marchand and his sons, Chad and Wade.

Longtime rodeo voice Keith Dinwoodie will be the announcer.

Watch for the signs on Westside Road.
